Hon. Agbana Unites Ketu North NDC: Defeated Aspirants and Executives Pledge Total Unity Ahead of 2024

2 min read

The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Edem Agbana, successfully convened a high-level reconciliation meeting bringing together all newly elected Constituency Executives and aspirants who were unsuccessful in the recently concluded National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency elections. The strategic gathering provided a constructive platform for candid discussions, reflection, and the bridging of post-election differences, underscoring the collective desire to put party interests above personal ambitions.

During the engagement, all aspirants who lost their election bids demonstrated exemplary statesmanship by officially pledging their unalloyed loyalty and full support to the victorious executive team. They reassured the gathering of their unwavering commitment to the NDC's ideology and promised to deploy their resources, influence, and campaign structures across the constituency to ensure the party remains robust and battle-ready for the upcoming general elections.

In response, the newly elected constituency executives expressed deep gratitude for the mature and magnanimous gesture displayed by their fellow comrades. They reaffirmed their commitment to practicing inclusive leadership, assuring all party members that no individual or faction would be sidelined or disenfranchised. The executive leadership emphasized that the primary focus remains a collective victory for the party, promising that every voice and contribution will be valued in the decision-making processes going forward.

Commending the participants for their political maturity, Hon. Edem Agbana reiterated that internal elections are merely democratic processes meant to strengthen the party rather than divide it. He called on all stakeholders to lock arms in solidarity and sustain this spirit of oneness across all branches in the Ketu North constituency. With unity fully restored, the NDC in Ketu North stands rejuvenated, focused, and determined to secure a decisive victory for both the parliamentary seat and the presidential ticket.
