"Forgive, Unite, and Aim for 95% in 2028" – Hon. Edem Agbana Urges Ketu North Executives

2 min read

The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, has charged newly elected constituency executives to put behind them all lingering grievances from internal campaign battles. Speaking during a meeting with the newly sworn-in leaders, the lawmaker acknowledged that internal party contests often leave deep emotional scars on both winners and losers due to intense propaganda and smear campaigns.

Addressing the leadership, Hon. Agbana candidly reflected on the personal toll of political contests, noting that victory does not automatically erase the pain caused by deliberate falsehoods spread during campaigns. He emphasized that even victors can harbor bitterness when targeted by malicious propaganda. However, he urged party members to rise above the personal attacks, exercise genuine forgiveness, and embrace total reconciliation to safeguard the party's collective interests.

The Ketu North MP highlighted that internal division remains the single greatest threat to electoral dominance. He reminded the newly elected executives that their primary mandate is not to celebrate victory, but to unite all party grassroots, heal fractured relationships, and build a formidable front. According to him, a united constituency executive team is essential to maintaining the trust and confidence of the electorate.

Looking ahead to future electoral contests, Hon. Agbana set an ambitious benchmark for the constituency, rallying party faithful to work relentlessly toward securing 95% of the total votes in the 2028 general elections. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the new executive leadership, calling on every comrade to channel their energy into grassroots mobilization and dedicated service to achieve an unprecedented electoral victory.
