You can marry as many as you want after university - Mrs. Emefa Quarshie Agbana to students

2 min read

Founder of the Universal Childcare Foundation, Mrs. Emefa Quashie Agbana, has advised students in the Ketu North Municipality to stay focused on their education and avoid teenage pregnancy as they pursue their academic goals.

She gave the advice during activities marking World Menstrual Hygiene Day, where the foundation donated sanitary pads to schools within the municipality.

Addressing the students during the donation exercise, Mrs. Agbana encouraged young girls to take good care of themselves and remain disciplined throughout their educational journey.

“You can marry as many as you want after the university, so take care of yourselves,” she stated, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing education and personal development before entering relationships that could negatively affect their future.

She also highlighted the need to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and ensure that girls have access to sanitary products to manage their menstrual hygiene with dignity and confidence.

According to her, no girl should miss school because of a lack of sanitary pads or proper menstrual health education.

The donation formed part of the Universal Childcare Foundation’s commitment to promoting menstrual health awareness and supporting the wellbeing of young girls in schools across Ketu North.
