Mr Philip Abotsi, Deputy Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) of the Keta Municipality, has called on contractors handling road projects in the Volta Region to uphold high standards and fulfill their commitments to government.
He cautioned that contractors must not undermine these efforts through poor workmanship or delays.
He praised the efforts of Mr Kwame Agbodza, Minister for Roads and Highways, describing his work as worthy of recognition.
Mr Abotsi highlighted the ongoing Denu–Tokor–Ho road project as a standout example, noting that work on the stretch is progressing steadily.
He explained that the road serves as an important link between communities in the Ketu South Municipality and Ho, supporting trade, transportation, and economic activity across the region.
He stressed that improving the road network would help reduce transport costs, enhance access to markets, and create better opportunities for businesses and residents along the corridor.
Mr Abotsi described the project as a benchmark for performance, urging other contractors to emulate the same level of commitment and adherence to quality standards.
He emphasized sustained dedication from contractors and offered prayers for the continued progress of the country.
