Edem Agbana has reaffirmed his commitment to improving education in the constituency by sponsoring a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme for about 1,200 public school teachers across all levels in Ketu North. The initiative, which begins on Monday, 18th May 2026, is expected to equip teachers with modern teaching skills, innovative classroom strategies, and enhanced professional competencies to improve learning outcomes in schools across the constituency.

The large-scale training programme will be facilitated by BISMARK TAY Leadership Solutions, an accredited training provider recognized by both the National Teaching Council (NTC) and the Local Government Service. The programme is designed to support teachers in meeting current educational standards while helping them adapt to evolving teaching methodologies and curriculum demands. Teachers from kindergarten, primary, junior high, and senior high schools are all expected to benefit from the exercise.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Edem Agbana emphasized that education remains one of the key pillars of his development agenda for Ketu North. According to him, investing in teachers is one of the most effective ways to improve the quality of education, since teachers play a central role in shaping the future of children and the community at large. He noted that empowering educators through continuous learning opportunities would ultimately lead to better academic performance and improved standards in schools.

The programme has already generated excitement among many teachers and education stakeholders within the constituency, who see it as a timely intervention to enhance professional growth and boost morale among educators. Many observers believe the initiative demonstrates the MP’s practical commitment to supporting the education sector beyond infrastructure development, by directly investing in human resource capacity building.

Hon. Edem Agbana further assured residents that more impactful interventions are on the way as part of efforts to transform Ketu North through education and youth empowerment. He reiterated his vision of creating opportunities that strengthen teaching and learning while ensuring that every child in the constituency has access to quality education delivered by well-trained and motivated teachers.
