Isabella Etornam Gagblezu, winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) 2025, has joined dignitaries and education stakeholders to inspect a newly commissioned Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory at Juapong RC Basic School in the North Tongu Municipality of the Volta Region.
The facility was established through the support of the BEiT Foundation in collaboration with the Maxim Nyansa Foundation, as part of efforts to improve access to digital education and technology-based learning opportunities for pupils in the school. The initiative is expected to provide students with a conducive environment to develop essential digital skills needed in today’s rapidly changing world.
Etornam, whose support contributed to the project, expressed her commitment to initiatives that promote education and empower young people, particularly through access to technology. During the inspection, she and the accompanying dignitaries toured the facility and interacted with stakeholders, highlighting the importance of equipping pupils with the knowledge and tools required to compete in an increasingly digital world.
The newly commissioned ICT laboratory is expected to serve as an important resource for both teachers and pupils of Juapong RC Basic School. The project also underscores the impact of partnerships between foundations, community stakeholders and individuals in addressing educational needs and creating better opportunities for children in the Volta Region.
