The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has emerged as the highest-rated regional minister in Ghana, according to the September 2026 survey conducted by research firm Global InfoAnalytics. The poll highlights strong public approval for Hon. Gunu, whose administration earned top marks compared to his counterparts across the country. Following closely behind in the national ranking are the regional ministers for the Western Region and Northern Region, securing the second and third positions respectively.
The survey evaluated public perception of regional leadership using a specific scoring metric to calculate each official's overall standing. The net score was derived by combining the percentages of respondents who rated the minister's performance as "Excellent" and "Very Good/Good," and subtracting the combined percentage of "Poor/Very Poor" ratings. To maintain focus on definitive public sentiment, neutral ratings specifically "Average" and "No Opinion" were excluded from the final calculation.
Hon. James Gunu’s leadership in the Volta Region has consistently generated attention through key regional initiatives, including strategic efforts around localized economic growth, agricultural development, and regional security strategy. This latest evaluation places his office at the forefront of administrative governance nationwide, reflecting strong public sentiment regarding performance in the region.
