The Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress has appointed Mr. Julius Kwame Anthony as Deputy Communications Director of the party with immediate effect. The decision was taken at the committee’s meeting held on Tuesday, 13th October 2026, according to a press release signed by National Chairman Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey.

The appointment is intended to strengthen the party’s communications machinery, improve public engagement, and ensure more effective articulation of the policies, programmes and achievements of the NDC-led government. Party officials said Mr. Anthony brings a sound understanding of strategic communication that will help deepen public appreciation of the government’s policy direction, particularly within the framework of the Reset Agenda under President John Dramani Mahama.

In the release, the NDC expressed confidence that the new Deputy Communications Director will approach the role with dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. He is expected to work closely with the Communications Directorate and other party structures to advance the organisation’s communication objectives.

The party further announced that Messrs. Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah and Julius Kwame Anthony will serve as the official voices of the NDC and the designated contact persons for all media and public enquiries. The Functional Executive Committee congratulated Mr. Anthony on his appointment and wished him success as he assumes the new responsibility in service to the party and the people of Ghana.
