The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, joined the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Stephen Adom, to commission and officially hand over seven completed development projects across local communities. The joint commissioning reflects a unified leadership effort aimed at expanding essential public amenities and driving socio-economic growth directly to constituents.
The newly commissioned projects strategically address long-standing service gaps across the healthcare and education sectors. On the health front, two new CHPS Compounds were handed over at Takla Atiyinu and Ziavi Bamefedo to expand local access to primary healthcare. To support resident medical staff, two-unit nurses’ quarters were also inaugurated at Tokokoe and Matse to offer secure and comfortable accommodation for frontline healthcare workers.
Educational capacity received a matching boost through the completion of modern classroom blocks complete with ancillary facilities. Beneficiary communities include Hodzo Alavanyo, which received a three-unit classroom block, and Nyive, which welcomed a six-unit classroom block. Additionally, a two-unit classroom block was commissioned at Shia, expanding classroom space and improving learning conditions for children across the constituency.
Hon. Kpotosu and regional leadership noted that these infrastructure projects represent vital investments into human capital, directly improving access to quality care and basic schooling while boosting morale for health and education professionals. Expressing appreciation for the warm turnout and enthusiasm displayed by local residents, traditional authorities, heads of institutions, Assembly Members, and community stakeholders, the leadership reaffirmed their continued commitment to collaborative governance and sustainable community development across Ho Central.
