Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Woyome described the Ghana House Project as a strategic platform designed to market Ghana to the world beyond sports. According to him, the initiative will create opportunities for economic partnerships, tourism promotion, cultural exhibitions, and investment discussions during the Olympic Games period.
He emphasized that Ghana House would serve as a meeting point for athletes, investors, tourists, and members of the Ghanaian diaspora in the United Kingdom.
The event was attended by the Minister for Sports and Recreation, officials of the National Sports Authority (NSA), executives of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), the UK High Commissioner to Ghana, and several distinguished guests from the corporate and entertainment sectors.
Speakers at the launch commended the initiative, noting that it aligns with efforts to position Ghana as a preferred destination for tourism, trade, and international sporting excellence. They further praised Hon. Woyome for championing a project that seeks to combine sports diplomacy with economic development.
Participants at the launch expressed optimism that the Ghana House Project would significantly enhance Ghana’s visibility during the Olympic Games in Glasgow while opening doors for international collaborations and investments.
