The Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Joycelyn Tetteh Quarshie, has commissioned a newly constructed 4-unit nurses’ quarters at Tsrukpe in the Volta Region, aimed at addressing the persistent accommodation challenges faced by health workers in the area.
The project forms part of her broader commitment to improving healthcare delivery and the welfare of frontline medical personnel within the constituency.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Tetteh Quarshie emphasized the critical role nurses play in the healthcare system and the need to provide them with decent living conditions.
She noted that inadequate accommodation has long been a major concern for health workers in rural communities, often affecting staff retention and service delivery. According to her, the completion of the quarters will not only motivate nurses but also enhance quality healthcare services for residents of Tsrukpe and nearby communities.
The facility is expected to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for nurses posted to the area, reducing the burden of commuting long distances to work.
