UN General Assembly Backs Call for True Representation of Africa Map

In a major diplomatic milestone, the United Nations General Assembly has passed a landmark resolution urging a more accurate depiction of Africa's geographic size on world maps.

​Titled "Correct the Map," the initiative aims to fix deep-seated cartographic distortions stemming from standard map projections, which historically render the African continent far smaller than it actually is.

​With 164 member states voting in support, the decision represents a significant victory in ongoing efforts to achieve equitable and precise global mapping.
