In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude to mark his transition from active service, Senior Chief Officer (SCO) Sovereign Kwaku Adams hosted a special send-off feast for inmates at the Ho Central Prison on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
The outgoing officer treated the inmates to a traditional meal of fufu served with chicken light soup. SCO Adams noted that the initiative was his way of expressing appreciation to God, his colleagues, the Ho Central Prison administration, and the entire Ghana Prisons Service for their unwavering backing throughout his career.
Reflecting on his tenure during the gathering, SCO Adams remarked that his time in service was a deeply transformative experience:
"Today is a day of thanksgiving for me. I have served here and the experience has shaped me. I decided to share this meal with my brothers here as a way of giving back and celebrating God's faithfulness in my life."
Commending the gesture, the Regional Commander and Deputy Director of Prisons, Joseph A. Vuu, expressed gratitude to SCO Adams on behalf of the command. He praised the initiative as a true reflection of love, camaraderie, and solidarity, calling on other officers to emulate such generous leadership.
The inmates warmly received the gesture, expressing sincere appreciation for the meal and describing the occasion as an unforgettable highlight of their time at the facility.
