The Kaledzi Foundation (K-foundation) has donated vital medical supplies to the Maternity Ward of the South Tongu District Hospital, Sogakope. The initiative, organized to celebrate the birthday of the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Edward Kaledzi, reflects the organization's ongoing dedication to improving healthcare delivery and assisting vulnerable populations within the region.
The targeted donation brought much-needed relief to the busy maternity facility, where access to basic medical consumables is critical for safe delivery and care. Items presented to the hospital included 50 packs of examination gloves, 10 packs of surgical gloves, 20 boxes of IV cannulas of various sizes, and 10 packs of drinking water.
The foundation also extended direct financial relief by covering the outstanding medical bills of several patients who were struggling to settle their accounts before discharge. Speaking on the motivation behind the outreach, representatives emphasized that celebrating the CEO's milestone through service aligns naturally with the core mission of the K-foundation. By channeling birthday celebrations into tangible social impact, Mr. Kaledzi and the foundation aimed to directly ease the financial and logistical burdens faced by both patients and healthcare workers at the facility.
Hospital authorities and beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude for the timely support, noting that the donated supplies and settled bills would significantly improve patient outcomes and lighten the operational pressure on the ward. The Kaledzi Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its social intervention programs, pledging to remain a dependable partner in supporting healthcare institutions and uplifting communities across the district.
