An 8-month-old baby boy who went missing from the Kpando Market on Thursday, July 16, has been safely recovered in Bowiri-Toviate in the Oti Region.
According to police sources, the infant was found safe and was immediately taken to the Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital in Kpando for medical examination to assess his condition.
A suspect believed to be linked to the alleged abduction is currently in custody at the Kpando Police Command. Police have confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance and recovery, and to decide on the appropriate legal charges.
Authorities are yet to release additional details about the suspect or the exact events that led to the baby being located in the Oti Region.
The Ghana Police Service has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, especially involving children. Further updates are expected as investigations progress.
