The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Hon. Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor, has presented financial support to 35 needy and brilliant students in the constituency. The presentation, executed through the MP's Common Fund, took place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Office of the District Chief Executive in Kpeve.

On behalf of the Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Courage Kokroko presented the educational cheques to the beneficiary students. Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Kokroko emphasized that the intervention was strategically designed to prioritize education while laying a foundation for future employment opportunities. He noted that the initiative reflects the lawmaker’s vision to ensure that no talented student is left behind due to financial constraints.

Highlighting the overarching vision behind the gesture, Hon. Kokroko stated, "Through the MP's Common Fund, we are not just providing financial aid; we are sowing seeds for a more prosperous Ghana." He further urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the assistance, expressing confidence that they would return as skilled professionals equipped to drive socio-economic development within the South Dayi District.

The financial aid is part of a broader, sustained development effort by Hon. Dafeamekpor since the 2024 general elections. Hon. Kokroko highlighted several key infrastructure and educational projects initiated by the MP, including the distribution of 1,200 dual desks to local schools, the construction of the Todome CHPS Compound, 12-unit classroom blocks at both Dzemeni and Kpeve, and vital road network improvements linking Todome to Dzemeni.

Concluding the presentation, Hon. Kokroko called for a unified effort among key community stakeholders to safeguard the future of the district's youth. He urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to continuously collaborate in nurturing young talent, reinforcing that education remains the most effective tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and driving lasting progress across South Dayi.
