The Member of Parliament for Ho West, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, recently hosted the Education Financing and Partnership Initiative (EFPI) team from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund). The initiative culminated in a generous handover of critical educational supplies designed to relieve learning resource deficits and enrich the educational environment for local students.
The beneficiary institutions included Abutia Agove Basic School, Avatime Senior High School, and the Ho West District Education Directorate. In total, the EFPI team delivered an impactful package comprising over 500 core textbooks, 10,000 exercise books, and 1,000 storybooks. These vital learning tools were distributed to directly support daily classroom instruction, cultivate a vibrant reading culture among younger learners, and ensure senior students have adequate study materials.
Local educators and community leaders welcomed the gesture, highlighting how the timely contribution will directly improve student outcomes. By providing essential supplies to both basic and secondary schools alongside central support for the District Education Directorate the initiative creates a stronger foundation for teachers and helps create an equitable, conducive learning atmosphere across the district.
Expressing his sincere gratitude to GETFund and the EFPI delegation, Hon. Bedzrah commended their continuous commitment to youth development and education. He emphasized that investments of this nature go beyond providing paper and books; they represent a direct investment in the future of Ho West’s children, paving the way for sustainable community growth and academic excellence.
