Nuaxove Basic School is set to undergo a major structural uplift following a comprehensive sod-cutting ceremony led by Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, MP for Akatsi North, and District Chief Executive Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani. The event marked one of the largest single-site interventions in the district's ongoing educational drive, drawing strong attendance from community elders, parents, teachers, and pupils eager to witness the commencement of physical works.
The comprehensive development package for Nuaxove Basic School features a six-unit primary classroom block with full ancillary facilities, a six-unit teachers’ residence, and a 12-unit modern toilet facility. This expansive combination of projects is engineered to overhaul the institution's capacity, providing modern teaching spaces, modern sanitation, and high-quality residential quarters designed to eliminate daily commutes for teaching personnel.
Delivering his address, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe reaffirmed that his legislative priority remains centered on human capital development through accessible and dignified education. He explained that providing a complete suite of infrastructure ranging from classrooms to sanitation and staff housing is necessary to bridge the gap between rural and urban basic education. The MP urged the community to take collective ownership of the project and ensure its protection throughout the construction lifecycle.
The chiefs and residents of Nuaxove expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe for his steadfast devotion to the constituency's welfare. They praised the MP and the District Assembly for delivering an all-inclusive solution rather than piecemeal developments, pledging their unreserved cooperation with the site engineers and workers to ensure seamless project execution.
