The 1st of March 2026 marked a inspiring milestone at Akatsi College of Education as the Member of Parliament, Honorable Bernard Ahiafor, attended the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) handing-over ceremony. The event, which brought together enthusiastic student leaders, faculty, and party faithfuls, served as a platform to celebrate smooth leadership transitions while focusing on the future of tertiary education in the constituency and the nation at large.

Addressing the gathered crowd, Hon. Ahiafor delivered an empowering keynote address that underscored the noble duty resting on the shoulders of the country's future educators. He charged the teacher trainees to recognize themselves not merely as students preparing for a career, but as essential pillars in shaping the nation's socioeconomic landscape. His message resonated deeply across the hall, instilling a renewed sense of pride and responsibility among the trainees.

In his address, the MP emphasized the direct link between individual dedication and national development. He reminded the trainees that the dedication, discipline, and knowledge they acquire today directly influence the quality of education future generations of Ghanaians will receive. Hon. Ahiafor stressed that every teacher trainee's personal success story will ultimately aggregate into the collective story of Ghana’s progress and growth.

The ceremony concluded on an uplifting note, with the outgoing TEIN executive body officially passing the torch to the newly elected officers. Hon. Ahiafor commended the outgoing team for their dedicated service and urged the incoming executives to lead with integrity, foresight, and a unwavering commitment to student welfare and national development.
