2 min read

Final-year students of Zion College, Anloga, have been taken through tertiary programmes, career pathways, and scholarship opportunities as part of a higher education and career development seminar organised for senior high and technical schools in the Volta Region.

The event, Phase 5 Session 1 of the 2026 Higher Education Fair and Career Development Seminar for final-year students, was held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Zion College in the Anloga District. It was organised by Kekeli Consult-Keta and ran from 9:00am to 11:00am.

All final-year students of Zion College participated in the initiative, according to a report filed by Mr Gilbert Korbla Keklie of Kekeli Consult-Keta on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The seminar focused on equipping students with information on programmes offered at various tertiary institutions and the job opportunities linked to those programmes. It also covered available scholarship packages at tertiary institutions, entry requirements, and career prospects after graduation, the report said.

Mr Keklie said the initiative targets final-year students in senior high and technical schools across the Volta Region to guide post-SHS choices and reduce misinformation about tertiary education and career paths.

Kekeli Consult-Keta expressed gratitude to the Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service and the Headmistress, Management, and Staff of Zion College for hosting and supporting the session.

The report also acknowledged the participation and support of several tertiary and professional institutions: the Institute of Chartered Accountants - Ghana (ICAG), Koforidua Technical University, Ho Technical University, Ghana Communication Technology University, and the University of Energy and Natural Resources.

The Higher Education Fair and Career Development Seminar is a regional series rolled out by Kekeli Consult-Keta. Phase 5 Session 1 at Zion College is part of ongoing engagements with SHSs and technical schools in the Volta Region ahead of final examinations and tertiary applications.

The organisers said the fairs are designed to bridge the information gap between second-cycle institutions and tertiary schools, while exposing students to funding options that can ease access to higher education.
