Church of Pentecost’s Sogakope Area Empowers 61 Members with Tools and Financial Support for Self-Reliance

The Sogakope Area of The Church of Pentecost has presented working tools and financial support to 61 members as part of its ongoing efforts to promote self-reliance and improve livelihoods among its congregation. The items were handed over during the half-year Area Presbytery Meeting held at the Sogakope Central Church Auditorium. This initiative underscores the church’s practical approach to addressing socio-economic challenges faced by members.

Beneficiaries received an array of essential work equipment, including sewing machines, hair dryers, tool boxes, make-up kits, a pumping machine, weedicides, and other tools vital for various trades. Some members also received cash support to aid their education and apprenticeship training. Area Head Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, together with his wife Mrs Cynthia Fosuaa Agidi-Quarshie and pastors along with their wives in the Area, donated 13 sewing machines, while additional items were generously mobilised from the various districts within the Sogakope Area.

Speaking at the presentation, Apostle Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie emphasised that the gesture reflects the Church’s deep commitment to the holistic well-being of its members. He highlighted the importance of empowering individuals not just spiritually but also economically, enabling them to become self-sufficient and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.

Pastor Reindorf Abiah, the Area PENTECOST Social Services (PENTSOS) Coordinator, urged the beneficiaries to approach their trades with diligence, professionalism, and integrity. He encouraged them to utilise the support effectively to generate sustainable incomes and, in turn, bring glory to God through their endeavours. The beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude to the Church leadership for the timely intervention and pledged to make the best use of the tools and support provided.

Through its PENTSOS arm, The Church of Pentecost continues to play a vital role in national development by complementing government efforts. The organisation implements impactful interventions in education, healthcare, water and sanitation, skills development, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment across the country. This latest initiative in Sogakope further demonstrates the church’s dedication to transforming lives and fostering self-reliance among its members.
