The Anfoega Senior High School Old Students Association (ANFOSA) has officially broken ground for the construction of a new six-unit classroom block at Anfoega Senior High School (ANFOESEC). The sod-cutting ceremony marks a major milestone in the association's ongoing efforts to support its alma mater by directly addressing severe classroom congestion and a shortage of core academic infrastructure.
This development follows an emergency meeting of ANFOSA Year Group representatives held on September 20, 2026. Responding directly to an urgent appeal from school management for expanded facilities to accommodate a rapidly growing student body, the leadership resolved to channel surplus funds generated from the school’s 60th anniversary celebration into financing the initial phase of the construction.
To ensure efficient execution and financial accountability, a dedicated five-member committee has been established to oversee the project’s implementation. The committee is chaired by ANFOSA President, Mr. Michael Kwasi Tawiah Klutse, with Mr. Richmond Afriyie Aboagye, the association's Treasurer, serving alongside him to guide project logistics and resource management.
Once completed, the new six-unit classroom block is expected to significantly ease overcrowding, create a more conducive teaching and learning environment, and enhance academic performance across the institution. ANFOSA's initiative highlights the vital role alumni networks play in bridging infrastructural gaps and driving sustainable development in local educational institutions.
