Akatsi North MP Breaks Ground for New Classroom and KG Blocks at Ashiagborvi Basic School

The infrastructure expansion drive across Akatsi North culminated in a historic ceremony at Ashiagborvi Basic School, where constituency MP Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe and DCE Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani officially broke ground for new academic blocks. The ceremony was witnessed by school administrators, traditional rulers, parents, and community members who gathered to celebrate the dramatic improvement incoming for primary and nursery education in the area.

The construction plans at Ashiagborvi Basic School focus on expanding academic capacity across two crucial levels: a three-unit primary classroom block and a two-unit Kindergarten (KG) block, both built with standard ancillary facilities. These additions are tailored to relieve severe classroom congestion, replace obsolete structures, and create a conducive environment where teachers can deliver quality instruction across both foundational and primary stages.

Speaking to the audience, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe highlighted that every child in Akatsi North deserves access to decent and safe educational facilities, regardless of their geographical location. He stated that the simultaneous construction of KG and primary blocks at Ashiagborvi will ensure smooth educational transitions for children within the same campus. The MP reiterated his commitment to collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to secure resources for continuous educational upgrading across the constituency.

Community leaders and opinion leaders at Ashiagborvi warmly commended Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe and the Akatsi North District Assembly for bringing their vision for improved school infrastructure to fruition. They pledged to support contractor mobilization and provide the necessary local assistance to ensure the projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within the stipulated timeframe.
