Peki Native Fafa Bankas Urges Collective Effort to Drive Local Development and Preserve Heritage

Peki native Fafa Bankas, writing under the handle PekiVia, has urged indigenes of the Peki Traditional Area to unite and actively support initiatives aimed at fostering community development and preserving their cultural heritage. His call comes on the heels of the recent presentation of a new vehicle to the Paramount Chief of the Peki Traditional Area, Deiga Kwadzo Dei XII a gesture Bankas described as a clear demonstration of what collective support for traditional leadership can achieve.

​Stressing that the duty to transform the area cannot be left to outsiders, Bankas emphasized that every native has a vital role to play in putting Peki on the map. Whether through financial contributions, innovative ideas, volunteering, or public advocacy, he noted that every effort contributes to building a stronger, more resilient community.

​Looking ahead, Bankas highlighted two key infrastructure projects he plans to continuously advocate for: the construction of a befitting palace for the Peki State and the comprehensive renovation of the Peki Community Centre. He described these projects as crucial symbols of Peki’s rich history, identity, and enduring pride, calling on the community to rally behind them.

​Opening the floor for broader community participation, Bankas invited fellow natives to share their perspectives on the most pressing needs of the traditional area and suggest additional initiatives to pursue together. He concluded with a stirring message of shared responsibility, reminding all indigenes: “Peki is ours. Its story is ours. Its future is ours.”
