Ten inmates at the Ho Central Prison have been awarded certificates in Theology following their successful completion of an intensive academic program at the Rabboni Bible School, an educational initiative established directly within the facility. The graduation ceremony took place at the prison on September 24, 2026.
Designed to foster spiritual and moral reformation, the curriculum covered core subjects including Bible studies, discipleship, morality, and character development, all intended to equip the inmates for a smooth reintegration into society.
Delivering the keynote address, the Volta Regional Commander of Prisons, DDP Joseph A. Vuu, commended the graduates for taking steps toward personal transformation, emphasizing that genuine reform originates from an internal shift of heart. He expressed appreciation to the Bible school's leadership for their dedication and encouraged the graduates to live out their faith by serving as positive role models within and outside the prison walls.
Serving as the Special Guest of Honour, Mr. Emmanuel Bright Atokoh (Esq) of EBA Law Consult lauded the initiative and advocated for expanding the program to cover the Ho Female Prison.
Rev. Godwin Senanu, Director of the Rabboni Bible School, acknowledged the support of the prison administration and announced plans to roll out a Diploma program starting next academic year.
In their testimonies, several graduates shared how the coursework shifted their perspectives on life, renewing their confidence and hope for the future.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including a representative of the Volta Regional Minister, members of the clergy, faculty from the Bible school, DSP Augustine Awuah (representing the Regional Police Commander), ARO Dorcas Konadu of the Customs Division, as well as senior and junior officers of the Ho Central Prison.
