Educare Initiative Kicks Off with Uniform Donation to 32 Dabala E.P. Basic School Pupils

​The Citizen Project has officially launched its Educare Initiative with a maiden social responsibility outreach at Dabala E.P. Basic School A on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. As part of the milestone event, the project presented brand-new school uniforms to 32 lower primary pupils, evenly split between 16 boys and 16 girls. The targeted donation addresses immediate daily basic needs for early-grade learners, ensuring that physical barriers to education are dismantled right at the start of their academic journey.

​The primary objective of the intervention is to relieve pressing financial burdens on local parents while boosting classroom confidence and encouraging regular attendance among younger students. School uniforms, often a significant expense for low-income families, play a crucial role in fostering a sense of belonging and equality among schoolchildren. By providing proper school clothing, the initiative directly tackles one of the subtle yet persistent drivers of absenteeism in rural and developing communities.

​Representatives from The Citizen Project highlighted that this maiden distribution represents the crucial first step in a long-term commitment to advancing United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all. The organization emphasized that meeting fundamental physical needs creates the necessary environment for effective learning, helping keep vulnerable children in school and engaged.

​Building on the success of this inaugural outreach, the Educare Initiative is actively preparing to expand its reach across the district. Future phases will go beyond school attire to deliver essential learning materials, educational infrastructure support, and student care programs to additional schools. Through these sustained efforts, The Citizen Project aims to build lasting partnerships with local educators to foster equity and empower the next generation of learners.
