The Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has paid a courtesy visit to the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly to formally announce its historic youth engagement programme. Scheduled to take place tomorrow under the theme “Bridging the Gap Between Parliament and the Ghanaian Youth,” the landmark event aims to forge a direct connection between the nation's legislature and young citizens.
Explaining the vision behind the initiative, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, highlighted that the programme is designed to educate young people on parliamentary activities while gathering their authentic perceptions and expectations of Parliament and their representatives. He emphasized that the initiative will extend to various regions across the country, creating a sustainable, two-way dialogue between Parliament and the youth to address their core concerns.
