The Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Hon. Joycelyn Tetteh Quarshie, has demonstrated her commitment to youth development and sports by presenting a generous cash donation of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 10,000) to the North Dayi District sports team. Delivered through the District Chief Executive of North Dayi, the funds are aimed at supporting the team’s ongoing participation in the Volta Regional Inter-District Schools Sports Competition currently underway in Hohoe.
This major contribution follows an earlier gesture of support from the lawmaker during the team’s initial preparation stage. To ensure the student-athletes were well-equipped and comfortable, Hon. Quarshie previously provided a comprehensive package of essential food and welfare items, including bags of rice, gari, sugar, toilet rolls, and mosquito coils, alongside a cash donation of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 1,000).
Her sustained interventions have provided a major morale boost to both the players and technical staff representing the district. Community members, sports officials, and school authorities have commended the MP for her hands-on leadership and dedicated effort to ease the financial and logistical burdens associated with competing at the regional level.
Hon. Quarshie’s continued investment in the district’s young talent underscores the vital role that local sports play in fostering discipline, teamwork, and unity among the youth. As the North Dayi team battles for glory in Hohoe, the MP’s generosity serves as a strong reminder that the entire constituency stands firmly behind them in their quest for regional honors.
