The Paramount Chief of Bamvim, Abdulai Ziblim, has gifted a one-acre parcel of land in Jongshegu, near Tamale, to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to establish a new fire station.
During an official visit to inspect and accept the site, the Northern Regional Fire Commander, ACFO I Joseph Koranteng, commended the traditional ruler for prioritizing community safety. He highlighted that a dedicated station in the area will significantly reduce emergency response times and boost fire protection for Jongshegu and nearby rapidly growing areas.
Chief Abdulai Ziblim urged local leadership and partners to help accelerate the construction process, while ACFO I Koranteng praised the initiative as a model partnership between traditional leaders and public institutions to safeguard lives and property.
