Bakpa Traditional Area; Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit on Central Tongu Member of Parliament

A delegation of executives of the Bakpa Development Association, other stakeholders, together with some Chiefs from the Bakpa Traditional Area, paid a courtesy visit to the Central Tongu MP, Hon. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze.

The visit is one geared towards discussions in regards to the way forward with development in the Central Tongu Constituency. The delegation expressed their appreciation for the MP’s presence at last year’s Klokpoza Festival and for my support towards the successful celebration. They also used the opportunity to discuss the role that Hon. Hottordze's office and the Assembly can play in this year’s celebration.

The sitting discussed ways to work together to invite important personalities to grace the occasion. The delegation also indicated their intention to hold similar engagements with the Volta Regional Minister Hon. Hon. James Gunu and the Central Tongu DCE Hon. Addison Dodzi Mornyuie in the coming days.

The honourable group pledged to work hand-in hand with the political authorities to advance the development agenda of the Bakpa Traditional Area, siting that it is in their interests to see Central Tongu in the heights. 

The Member of Parliament consider this engagement a step in the right direction towards strengthening collaboration between traditional authorities and political leadership for the development of our communities, and setting soft grounds for other developmental issues to come in future.
