Tragedy has struck the University of Cape Coast (UCC) community following the sudden death of a young student, Portia Boah, under allegations of food poisoning involving her best friend.
In a clip released by Dunkwa TV, Portia recounted the events leading up to her illness. According to her account, a friend identified as Charlotte requested that her parents send food ahead of an Senior High School (SHS) visiting day. On the day of the visit, Charlotte divided the meal into two portions serving one to Portia and the other to another student, Ernestina.
Portia revealed that she fell critically ill shortly after consuming the meal. Her condition required multiple surgical procedures, with medical personnel ultimately attributing her distress to food poisoning.
In the final days before her passing, Portia publicly shared her ordeal, directly pointing to Charlotte as the individual who provided her with the food.
The tragic incident has sparked widespread sorrow across social media platforms, with viewers calling for further clarity into the circumstances surrounding her death.
