The Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, joined local government officials and traditional leaders including Torgbuiga Gbordzekpor Gagba IV to officially break ground for a new six-unit fully fitted workshop at Ave Technical Institute.
The sod-cutting ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including the District Chief Executive, members of the Ave Afiadenyigba Traditional Council, community members, alongside the management, staff, and students of the institute.
Designed to align with Ghana’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative, the facility aims to equip students with practical, industry-ready skills. This new infrastructure will significantly upgrade technical education in Akatsi North, advancing national efforts to revamp TVET through modern facilities and competency-focused training to make graduates more employable.
Special appreciation goes to the Volta Regional Minister, the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, the Akatsi North District Chief Executive, and the leadership and staff of Ave Technical Institute for their dedication to bringing this project to life.
