2 min read

Pencils of Promise in collaboration with Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, MP, will officially hand over a newly completed Kindergarten (KG) Block and ancillary facilities to the Kpeyiborkorpe Community. The colourful ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 17th July 2026 at 9:00 am at the Kpeyiborkorpe School Compound. This project reflects a strong commitment to improving early childhood education and creating better learning environments for young learners in the area.

The new facility includes a modern KG Block equipped with essential ancillary structures designed to support quality teaching and learning. Built through the joint efforts of Pencils of Promise and the Member of Parliament, the infrastructure aims to address the long-standing need for adequate kindergarten spaces in the community. Once commissioned, the facility will serve dozens of children, providing them with safe, conducive classrooms and supporting facilities that meet contemporary educational standards.

Mr. Freeman Gobah, Country Director of Pencils of Promise, will lead the handover alongside Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, MP for Ketu North Constituency. Mr. Gobah brings extensive experience in educational development across underserved communities, while Hon. Agbana continues to champion infrastructure and human capital development in his constituency. Their partnership underscores the power of collaboration between non-governmental organisations and political leadership in delivering tangible development outcomes.

For the people of Kpeyiborkorpe, this handover represents more than just a new building it symbolises hope, progress, and investment in the future of their children. Access to quality early childhood education is known to lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning and community development. The new KG Block is expected to reduce overcrowding, improve teacher effectiveness, and increase enrolment in the community’s basic schools.

The public is warmly invited to join the official handover ceremony on Friday, 17th July 2026 at 9:00 am at the Kpeyiborkorpe School Compound. This milestone event celebrates not only the completion of the project but also the shared vision of creating brighter educational futures for Ghanaian children. Follow updates and more from Hon. Eric Edem Agbana on his social media platforms.
