The shot stopper and Ghana's World Cup star; Benjamin Asare who was one of Hearts of Oak's best performing stars in the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League campaign, partook in a Unity Health walk organised by Ghana Gas under the theme: 'strengthening staff welfare and promoting community engagement.'
Benjamin Asare led the front in the health walk as he showcased a lot of strength and resilience. Hundreds of youth came together onto the streets of Accra to support and take part in the health walk.
The Black Stars goalkeeper, alongside CEO of Ghana Gas, Judith Adjoba Blay, led staff of the company through Dzowurlu, Aiport and its environs.
Upon the completion of the grueling walk, Asare admonished the wider Ghanaian society to embark on health-centred initiatives.
"I would like to thank Ghana Gas. It is good that once a while you can get this kind of exercise. It is very good for those who need strength or energy. Every year, when they do this, it helps those who work in the company."
Asare endeared himself to Ghanaians at the 2026 World Cup, impressing in a second half display againt Panama in Ghana's opening game before recording a clean sheet against England in the Black Stars' second group game.
His performances at the 2026 World Cup have made Asare a key target for a host of clubs.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, the shot stopper pledged to out-do himself.
"This is the time to prove to Ghanaians that I can do it. Once it is my job, I must prove at anywhere because of the love and the way they cheer me. As at now, expect more from me next season."
