Volta-based musician and “Agoo” hitmaker Real Keddy has expressed concern about the attitude of some artists in the Volta Region towards the entertainment industry.
Speaking during an interview on Sela Radio, the artiste stated that many creatives in the region tend to be overly emotional and often take issues in the showbiz industry too personally, which he believes hinders their growth.
According to Real Keddy, the entertainment industry is highly competitive and requires a level of professionalism that goes beyond emotions. He noted that disagreements, criticism, and competition are normal aspects of show business, but many local artists struggle to separate personal feelings from professional matters. This, he said, often leads to unnecessary conflicts and divisions among creatives.
The musician further explained that understanding the dynamics of the entertainment business is crucial for success. He stressed that artists must be willing to learn, collaborate, and accept constructive criticism if they want to elevate their careers. Real Keddy added that successful musicians across the world thrive because they focus on the business side of entertainment rather than allowing emotions to influence their decisions.
He therefore called on artists in the Volta Region to adopt a more professional approach and support one another in building a stronger creative industry. Real Keddy believes that with unity, discipline, and a better understanding of showbiz, the region can produce more successful acts capable of competing on the national and international stage.
