The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, recently hosted the Board of the Ho Teaching Hospital, led by Board Chairman Dr. Delanyo Yao Tsidi Dovlo, for a strategic courtesy visit at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council.
The primary objective of the meeting was to forge a stronger partnership between the Council and the hospital management to significantly upgrade medical services throughout the Volta Region. Key topics on the agenda included; Facility Expansion, Specialized Care, Infrastructure Upgrades.
Hon. James Gunu underscored the importance of unified stakeholder efforts in tackling the hospital's operational and structural challenges. He highlighted that addressing these needs is vital to improving local healthcare standards.
Additionally, the Regional Minister advocated for constructive and responsible public communication regarding the facility. He noted that maintaining public trust is critical as the hospital works toward becoming a premier healthcare hub and a destination for regional medical tourism.
