The District Chief Executive (DCE) for South Tongu, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, has appealed to developers and residents to observe local planning laws and help protect public lands across all electoral areas.
In a recent statement, Hon. Dzeklo underlined that long-term economic growth depends heavily on well-organized urban development, proper spatial planning, and consistent regulatory oversight.
"Orderly development is the foundation of a prosperous district," Hon. Dzeklo emphasized. "As we begin a new week, my administration remains firm in protecting public assets, ensuring proper spatial planning, and enforcing development control across South Tongu."
She stressed the importance of safeguarding government lands to secure space for future public infrastructure, such as health centers, schools, and community amenities. To avoid unauthorized construction, she advised property owners and real estate developers to confirm all land documentation with the Assembly and the Lands Commission before starting any building project.
"Sustainable growth requires that we build responsibly, respect spatial plans, and preserve government lands for future infrastructure that serves all our people," she added.
Hon. Dzeklo ended her message by urging residents to demonstrate civic responsibility and work closely with local authorities to uphold order and promote continuous development across the district.
