The Accra-Kumasi road has long been the talk of rising tragic accident scenes over the years, killing over hundreds of people. Even though the government is putting up measures and lasting solutions to curb these issues, reports still reveal that the route is is still causing harm to users.
According to reports circulating, over 15 persons are involved in a crash that happened on that road some few hours ago. One person has died and 14 others sustained injuries in the road crash on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Paradise Restaurant at Bunso on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.
The accident involved a MAN Diesel truck and a Toyota Hiace after the truck reportedly veered into the opposite lane while attempting to give way to a Toyota Vitz. Firefighters from the Bunso Fire Station responded promptly, assisted in rescue, salvaging personal belongings and cleared the scene to restore traffic.
However, the general public is being advised to take caution and maintain high alertness when using any road route across the country.
