North Dayi Nember of Parliament Hon. Joycelyn Tetteh Quarshie will represent Ghana at the upcoming Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, scheduled to take place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Born on January 10, 1988, Hon. Tetteh Quarshie serves as a Member of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana under the banner of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She previously served during the Seventh Parliament, where she was counted among its 36 female legislators. Alongside her legislative obligations, she holds the position of Ghana's official ambassador against human trafficking.

The 12th edition of the IPU Global Conference centers on human rights as its core theme. Participating national parliaments have been asked to form delegations of up to four lawmakers under the age of 40. The sessions will explore strategies through which young legislators can safeguard fundamental human rights, promote justice, and uphold human dignity amidst current global challenges.

As Hon. Tetteh Quarshie prepares to join international peers at this global gathering, constituents across the North Dayi district have expressed strong backing for her mission to elevate Ghana's voice on international policy issues.
