New Pan-African Initiative Launches to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Africa Parliament

​A major step toward modernising governance across Africa took place at the Parliament of Ghana with the official launch of the Digital Parliaments Project Africa a joint effort by the POPVOX-DPP Foundation and the House Democracy Partnership.

​The project addresses the historical divide between research findings and legislative application. Its core mission is to empower lawmakers with modern tools, thereby refining legislative practices and delivering better public governance outcomes.

​Highlighting the project’s scope, Ms. Marci Harris, Co-Founder and Executive Director of POPVOX-DPP, stressed the imperative of building institutional commitment around transparency and open governance. She pointed to the integration of artificial intelligence and digital workflows within the U.S. Congress as an example of how tech implementation directly boosts operational efficiency.
