Two men have been sentenced to 20 years in prison each by an Accra High Court for leading and trafficking 11 Nigerians to Ghana and forcing them into cyber fraud.
According to reports, the culprits are believed to have been in the said inhumane dealings for long and have been arrested upon thorough investigation by the Ghana Police Service. These two men, after trials in court, were found guilty and have been sentenced respectively.
Over the periods, there were many reports that young girls and boys from Nigeria are lured by some unknown individuals into Ghana, promising them with job offers only for them to end up in illegal activities for survival. Reports says that young girls who are lured into the country mostly end up into prostitution (sex workers) for survival.
The Ghana Police have over the periods, been making swift efforts to crackdown on such unknown traffickers. Positive results are being attained in respect to the said effect.
