Hon. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, Member of Parliament for Hohoe, has presented two brand-new laptops to the overall best graduating students of St. Teresa’s College of Education (TERESCO) and St. Francis College of Education (FRANCO). The gesture, made on his behalf during the institutions’ recent graduation ceremonies, underscores his commitment to promoting academic excellence and youth empowerment within the constituency. The two colleges together produced 605 newly trained teachers ready to contribute to Ghana’s education sector.
The beneficiaries are Ms. Efia Nomzamo Boamah of TERESCO, who graduated with a commendable CGPA of 3.86, and Mr. Bless Kpogah of FRANCO, who emerged as Valedictorian and Overall Best Graduating Student with an outstanding CGPA of 3.94. This presentation fulfills an earlier pledge by the MP to reward exceptional performance among students in the Hohoe area. In addition to the laptops, both top achievers qualify for the MP’s scholarship and sponsorship support packages, providing further assistance for their future academic and professional pursuits.
The initiative reflects Hon. Tsekpo’s belief in the power of education as a catalyst for development. By recognizing hard work and outstanding results, the MP aims to motivate current and prospective students to strive for excellence. Such targeted support not only boosts individual achievements but also strengthens the quality of teacher training in the constituency.
Hon. Tsekpo emphasized that investing in education remains crucial for building a stronger future for Hohoe and the nation as a whole. “This gesture is to encourage excellence and hard work among students,” he stated. The MP’s continued focus on education infrastructure and student welfare highlights a forward-looking approach to constituency development, inspiring the next generation of educators and leaders in Ghana.
