H.E John Dramani Mahama (President, Ghana)

President John Dramani Mahama has presented the "Accra Reset," a strategic framework designed to foster a more balanced global economy by prioritizing resource sovereignty, local manufacturing, equitable trade practices, and enhanced South-South collaboration.

Delivering his address at the 65th Anniversary High-Level Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Belgrade, Serbia, President Mahama emphasized the urgent need for increased climate finance, robust adaptation assistance, and expanded investments in renewable energy across developing countries.

He noted that Ghana’s upcoming African Union (AU) Chairmanship in 2027, alongside its role guiding the African Group of Negotiators on Climate Change, will serve as pivotal avenues to advocate for the continent's strategic objectives.

Additionally, President Mahama called on member states to address the digital divide, urging developing nations to actively engage in creating and governing artificial intelligence technologies rather than remaining passive users.
