A high-level delegation of traditional rulers from Ghana's Volta Region has landed in China on a mission to build dynamic investment alliances and accelerate sustainable regional growth.
Led by Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of Anfoega, the delegation traveled at the invitation of Ghana’s Ambassador to China, His Excellency Kojo Bonsu. Entrepreneur and Volta native Mr. Peter Ahiakpor coordinated the trip, which features a distinguished group of chiefs: Togbe Gabusu VII of Hohoe, Togbe Atikpladza Agbi Yao VIII of Kpalime, Togbe Sei II of Botoku, Togbe Dagadu IX of Kpando, Togbe Tenge Dzokoto Gligui VII of Anyako, and Togbe Adama III of Some.
Upon arrival at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, the royal delegation received a warm welcome from Ambassador Kojo Bonsu, alongside prominent local business figures. Key attendees included Mr. Jiang Jia Hua and Mr. Blaze Li from Sinohui Investment Corporation, as well as Hon. Aku-Sika Kpene, a Board Member of the Produce Buying Company (Shea).
The strategic mission aims to forge solid international partnerships to drive local development, focusing primarily on acquiring modern technology, upgrading educational standards, and expanding agricultural value chains. Additional priority areas for collaboration include waste management, modern sanitation solutions, and the commercial promotion of the region's rich tourism and cultural assets.
By connecting Volta’s traditional authorities directly with global capital and industry leaders, the tour represents a major effort to secure transformative investments for the region.
