Hon James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, on Wednesday hosted members of the Volta Regional branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) to a brief breakfast meeting at the Residency. The engagement was held to brief the media on preparations and expectations for the upcoming tour of the region by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Regional Minister and the journalists to discuss the significance of the #ResettingGhana Tour, which is set to commence tomorrow. Officials used the platform to outline key areas of focus during the President’s visit, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing developmental needs in the Volta Region through direct engagement with residents and stakeholders.
GJA members welcomed the gesture, describing it as a positive step towards fostering a cordial working relationship between the media and government officials. The breakfast meeting also allowed for open dialogue on effective coverage of the President’s tour activities and the need for accurate and responsible reporting throughout the visit.
As anticipation builds across the region, the #ResettingGhana Tour is expected to feature high-level interactions, project inspections, and community engagements aimed at resetting the development agenda. Residents of the Volta Region are eagerly awaiting the President’s arrival, with many hoping the tour will yield tangible outcomes for the area.
