Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu Hosts National Association of Beauticians and Hairdressers-Volta

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu On 20th April 2026,  warmly received a delegation from the Volta Regional branch of the National Association of Beauticians and Hairdressers during a courtesy call at his office. 

The delegation, led by Grace Asinyo Fianku, Ho District Zone Leader, used the opportunity to formally introduce their Association and outline its core activities, particularly its contribution to skills development and youth empowerment across the region.

During the engagement, the Association emphasized its active role in promoting vocational training, creating employment opportunities, and supporting the national apprenticeship programme.

They highlighted how their work continues to equip young people with practical skills in the beauty industry, thereby reducing unemployment and fostering entrepreneurship among the youth in the Volta Region.

Hon. James Gunu commended the Association for its dedication and impactful initiatives, noting that their efforts align with the government’s broader agenda of promoting technical and vocational education. 

He assured the delegation of his commitment to collaborate closely with the Association to expand opportunities for skills development and job creation, ultimately improving livelihoods and driving sustainable development across the region.
