The Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council (VRCC) recently convened its first meeting of 2026 at the Residency Conference Room to review key development projects and address critical regional priorities.
Presiding over the session, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, briefed stakeholders on current government projects and ongoing developmental initiatives across the region.
A notable highlight of the meeting was the presence of the Namibian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata, who attended following her recent tour of the Volta Region. Her involvement opened doors for meaningful conversations on shared priorities and future bilateral collaboration.
The high-level gathering brought together key local governance figures and leadership, including the Chief Director, Alhaji Mohammed Avona Akape, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs), Presiding Members, Co-ordinating Directors, Heads of Decentralized Departments, and other prominent community stakeholders.
