The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, on behalf of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, welcomed a high-level delegation from World Vision for the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at implementing the Universal Service Coverage for Water, Sanitation and Health initiative in the Agortime-Ziope District.
The ceremony, held at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, underscores the region’s commitment to collaborating with development partners to deliver sustainable and impactful interventions that improve the quality of life for residents.
Speaking during the event, Hon. James Gunu expressed profound appreciation for World Vision’s partnership. He reaffirmed the Regional Coordinating Council’s dedication to working closely with development organizations to drive initiatives that address critical community needs and foster long-term regional progress.
The MoU was formally signed on behalf of the Agortime-Ziope District Assembly by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alfred E. Odikro, and the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Reuben Akuffo.
This strategic partnership is expected to significantly expand access to safe drinking water, enhance sanitation infrastructure, and promote improved health outcomes across communities in the Agortime-Ziope District.
