Vice President Opoku-Agyemang Visits Interior Ministry, Urges Integrity and Professionalism in Ghana’s Security Services

Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Monday paid a working visit to the Ministry of Interior, where she engaged directly with leadership and personnel of the nation’s security apparatus. The high-level engagement underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening internal security and fostering stronger collaboration between state institutions and the public.

In her address to the gathering, the Vice President emphasized the critical role of integrity and professionalism in the discharge of duties by security services. She noted that consistent ethical conduct and high standards of service delivery are essential prerequisites for winning and sustaining public trust and cooperation, which remain vital for effective national security operations.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang highlighted the importance of accountability and transparency, urging officers and staff to uphold the highest levels of discipline. Present at the meeting were the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, and his deputy. Also in attendance were Chief Fire Officer D M Ntow-Sapong, heads of various security services, and directors of all agencies under the Ministry of Interior.
