Tourism Minister Urges Africa World Airlines to Promote Ghana in the Skies

Ghana's Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on Africa World Airlines (AWA) to step up as a flying ambassador for the nation. Speaking during a recent meeting with the airline's management, the Minister encouraged AWA to actively showcase Ghana’s top travel destinations to passengers during flights.

​She highlighted prime attractions such as the Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, Tano Boase, and Kintampo Waterfalls, noting that in-flight announcements about these locations could significantly drive domestic tourism.

Hon. Gomashie also commended the airline's newly unveiled E190 aircraft livery. Featuring Ghana's national colors red, gold, and green the vibrant design serves as a visually striking ambassador for the country across Africa and international routes.

​By blending AWA’s flight experience with destination marketing, the Ministry hopes to forge a strong partnership between aviation and local tourism to advance the nation's "Experience Ghana" initiative.
